Lofoten

Have you ever fallen in love with a place you've never visited?

Maybe you saw a photo or a postcard and couldn't get the view out of your mind

This was the place I fell in love with. I saw this view below, and knew I had to visit

Little did i know how far you can fall...

When once is never enough

Lofoten is quite something, and once will never be enough

The best airport to fly to is Leknes and getting there normally takes 3 flights

London - Oslo - Bodø - Leknes

Scandinavian Airlines can get you there on the same day, BA normally means you need an overnight in Oslo

You will need to hire a car and can pre-book this for pickup from Leknes Airport.

Out of the Airport you are immediately on the only main road, the E10

Turn right and it takes you all the way to the end of the road, to Å the most western village

If you turn left on the E10 and drive for half a mile before exploring west you will come across the most stunning lake  - although not so much to see when it's winter...
